After completing DNB from Mumbai's renowned Jaslok Hospital, he completed fellowship in Cornea, Cataract and Refractive surgery from renowned Tejas Eye Hospital (Surat) where he performed large number of cataract surgeries and various complex corneal and refractive procedures. He has done his Glaucoma fellowship from HV Desai Eye Hospital (Pune).

He has acquired training and experience in the field of cornea, ocular surface diseases, cataract and refractive surgery from nationally renowned centres like LV Prasad eye institute(Hyderabad), Disha Eye Hospital (Kolkata), HV Desai Eye Hospital(Pune) and internationally renowned centres like Bascom Palmer Eye Institute (No. 1 eye hospital in USA) and Wake Forest University.

He is one of the few surgeons in country with experience in Lamellar keratoplasty, Limbal stem Cell Transplantation, Management and Treatment of Severe Dry Eye Diseases, etc. He has experience of more than 4000 cataract surgeries and more than 300 cornea transplants including advanced techniques of lamellar keratoplasty after training under national and international stalwarts in the field.
